Prism Wall Immolation
oil on canvas, 120×120 cm.
A mash-up of the Pink Floyd albums Wish You Were Here, The Dark Side of the Moon, and The Wall, original cover concepts by Storm Thorgerson and Gerald Scarfe.
Just as Moving Pictures (Ryden), and Aja Kusama represent the exit from the High Fidelity series, Prism Wall Immolation is first among the Dancing with Architecture paintings. It is both the last piece to mash-up, and the first to entirely abstract, and so it is unique among works in either series, but perhaps best represents the foray into interpretive rather than aggregative creativity.
